Didn't hear that but have heard that there is a very strong rumour that all is not well with his expected move to McLaren
It would cost a fortune to buy out his contract from Denis, doubt that Renault could, or would. Honda did it with Button,....( Many Seppuku since)
So,,,,if he aint going to the Silver Merc team ?????
Ferrari ???
Who else has the money and the package????????
RedBull are now rumoured to be flicking the Ferrari engines to Torro Rosso, and taking a Renault engine.......hmmmmmmm
I think something is cooking in here...
Would not have expected Alonso to say something like this(if its true)...doubt its the pressure..but could be..or its Ron mind to piss Renault ppl thru Alonso,so they wont try to buy out the contract
Kappy, all I know is that in the last 18 hours, I have heard this from 2 unrelated euro sources, and 1 usually reliable pommy source 8)

Dunno, I am waiting to read what people like Jo Saward have to say about it. The fact that the press has not blasted headlines everywhere means to me that no-one is talking, because any leak would be too close to the source, and easily identified 8)

FIA bans innovative dampers

Post by GhoGho » Sat Jul 22, 2006 3:05 am

Renault have had this since last season and ferrari recently introduced their version this season.
Is this why the renault has had far superior cornering speeds to everyone else until recently?
How will it affect their performance relative to the teams not using it?
I'm in shape

Round is a shape...........

It is one of the reasons. Imho they are an integral part of the overall design, and it will have an effect on the balance/stability of the car

Ah you mean this comment Kapel :D

Well the explanation is simple - no need to focus too hard  , Alonso wants Fisichella to finish higher than he usually does so he can take points away from Michael.

FACT: In the 6 races Alonso won this year, never did Fisichella finish second. In 4 of those Michael was second. Only once did Fisichella finish 3rd.
Yet the only time Fisichella won a race, Alonso was up there in second.

Had Fisichella managed to finish 2nd in 4 of those the gap to Michael would have been much bigger.

That is what Alonso means (assuming of course he actually did say this and was not made up    )

But rest assured Alonso isn't asking for PT, he doesn't need it (unlike that other guy who demands it :D ), it all won't matter in the end anyway :D
I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!

Yeah!!!Ur back :D

I'm not making up things...i read it on one of the F1 sites..

I agree with u on Fisi's performance & Alonso's dominance over him except USA..

But i think Alonso did make this comment, cos the championship could go down to the last race & if Alonso has 1 DNF(I think Michael has had 1 in Aus) , it could b'come very close & he would want Fisi to take some points away for Michael as probably Massa would do...i think its fair & please dont term this team orders... At this stage its team play :D

The FIA has contested its legality on the basis that no parts exerting an aerodynamic influence may be mobile.
If that is the case aren't wheels illegal?

Looks really over now,

by the way these German RTL commentators are totally useless, cant understand how Wasser can hold on to his job for so long. Danner is a bit better but one of many ex-pros who are not natural commentators.

They wonder why FISICO can beat FERNANDO not mentioning that the Italian has a fresh new-spec engine, they wonder if Ralfs car was damaged even if its evident to every TV-spectator, they wonder if FERNANDO might win the GP tomorrow from 7th place etc., etc. The list could be endless. These guys are not good enough to comment the traffic news not to talk about F1, actually they supress the show even more. Sorry just had to say that.

FERRARI look like taking away some 8-10 points from RENAULT while it should be at least 5 for MICHAEL.....

Ya know, I can't stand these tabliod type stories like this. In every interview I have heard or read with Alonso (including the one in question), he has been nothing but gracious and fair. Sports press credibility has fallen to an all time low.

This reminds me of how the press couldn't put down the non-story of Terrel Owens sacking by the Philadelphia Eagles last year in the NFL. They kept trying to bait Donovan McNabb into making a hard statement about the volatile Owens. McNabb chose the high road. Now, for some reason, they seem to be looking for any opportunity to deconstruct McNabb's image.

The PR idiots who have decided that NASCAR's Nextel Cup should transform itself into a Big Brother-type "reality" show, need to be fired immediately. Foolishly, it seems NASCAR has taken the bait. Did I mention the ad nauseum Barry Bonds non-story? As if all that isn't enough, now we have to endure the whole BS about Floyd Landis' Tour de France win!

Some of these guys are decent people who respect themselves and their respective sports. Everything thing does not have to cater to the lowest common denominator!

RE30B#16, what did you actually want to say?

I mean the teams all have 2 drivers and everybody tries to get as many points as possible, with the higher placed driver in the WDC standings preferably finishing in front. Mostly team order is not necessary as usually one driver adapts better to the package/and/or is superior to the other driver. Basically MICHAEL, FERNANDO, KIMI, JENSON, MARK to name a few are generally faster/more consistent/skilled than their team mates.

Re.FERNANDOs statement, there's nothing outrageous about it, simply claiming it would help if FISICO did as good a job as does FELIPE. He's right here and it's human he hadnt talked about this when leading the WDC by 25pts.
