Congrats to England then.

True. I am not all that versed in cricket but do like the game. Actually not sure that my knowledge is all that good in any sport ... or anything for that matter. Yep, I am well and truly an F1 idiot and to be honest probably a total idiot.[/quote]

Or words to that effect.

Fear to think what will happen if Hamilton were to win one next year.

A nice lady like you could only be too modest I'd say. You like F1, and that is not something every Tom d#$% and Harry can claim.
I love F1. My hubby was the one who was interested and then got me interested and now he has less interest than I do.

My wife got used to F1 because of me. However there is one major difference: she has ESP. She was watching the Japanese GP, looking at Schumi go into the pits... She looked up and said: "why doesn't his engine ever explode?" I gave her the spiel about reliability and all. Lo and behold, Schumi blew the engine only one lap later.

Scary! JayVee possesses (don't count the s's in that word) that power too.

That is a rare gift your lady has :D I wouldn't call it ESP though. My better half is able to make shops supply her with rare objects at ridiculous prices. She has only to think about it for a while the week before she needs it and it appears in the shops at a knock down price! I have been trying to convince her to use her powers for good and not for evil but she persists in self retail gratification! :?

I hear ya. There's more: Sometimes I go to a shop and buy something (usually some exotic food) that'd take an ordinary person forever to come up with. I go home happy only to find out that my wife has gotten the exact same stuff and about 10% cheaper too. That's bordering on miracle.

Now that does sound like some form of ESP! :) One or other is ease dropping on the others thoughts, or both of you are tuned into the same frequency. That's pretty cool.

Me and my significant other used to phone each other simultaneously so we kept getting engaged!
