The really unfortunate thing is, that if guilty, then a massive fine & loss of points would be appropriate....Just unfortunate that Hamo will lose the WDC.

That sounds logical but if the cars have gained an advantage, and therefore the driver has won the race, a pt deduction from both Alonso and Hamilton will be inevitable.Southernman wrote:If points are to be deducted from McLaren I hope that it is done sooner rather than later. The FIA have released a statement where they request representatives from the McLaren team to appear before the FIA World Motor Sport Council on the 26th of July in relation to the team being in possession of documents and confidential information that belonged to the Ferrari team.

The team representatives have been called to answer a charge that between March and July 2007, in breach of Article 151c of the International Sporting Code, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes had unauthorised possession of documents and confidential information belonging to Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, including information that could be used to design, engineer, build, check, test, develop and/or run a 2007 Ferrari Formula One car.
