Alonso improves but remains in 3rd with a 1:13.957.

Only 0.061 separates the top 3.

20 minutes into the session and the top 8 are: Montoya, Raikkonen, Alonso, Fisichella, Wurz, Trulli, M Schumacher and Sato.

Not many improvements at this stage as some of the drivers are on long runs evaluating tyres

Alonso moves into 4th just behind Raikkonen. Fisichella in 5th.

Looks like some teams are trying qualifying runs in case it is wet tomorrow morning!
