Fernando Alonso starts from Pole with Giancarlo Fisichella alongside him.
Kimi Raikkonen in 3rd with Jarno Trulli alongside him.
Michael Schumacher in 5th with Nico Rosberg alongside him.

Alonso's pole time was stunning but it remains to be seen how much fuel does the Renault have compared to the McLarens and Ferraris.

Fisichella appears to have jumped the start but slowed down. Alonso leads with Raikkonen in second and Fisichella in 3rd.

Rosberg had a good start and got ahead of Michael. Montoya also managed to get ahead of Michael. Montoya tried to take Rosberg but Rosberg shut the door and spun into the wall.

Safety car. Montoya pits for a front wing.

It remains to be seen if Fisichella will get a jump start penalty
