It's a pity that Nathan Astle has retired from NZ cricket in the middle of the triangular series in Australia.
I was hoping that he would carry on until after the cricket world cup that is about six weeks away.
I have heard that he is one of a number of players who do not like John Bracewell's coaching methods. I just hope that Bracewell gets dumped as coach after the cricket world cup.
In one dayers he scored 7090 runs and has taken 99 wickets. In tests, he scored 4702 runs and has taken 51 wickets.
