FIA Friday Press Conference now available here with Ross Brawn, Mike Gascoyne, Sam Michael, Pat Symonds and Geoffrey Willis.

Team bosses answer questions on rule changes, testing. Ross Brawn also talks about the F2005 and why Ferrari may introduce it in Bahrain.

1st Staurday practice session underway.

Air and track tempertures at 29 degrees. Track is dry

Anthony Davidson is replacing Takuma Sato for the rest of the weekend.

Sato is suffering from a fever and the team decided to withdraw him from the event.

Ralf Schumacher goes fastest with a 1:37.598. Davidson's first flying lap was slow. A 1:43.903, then improved to 1:41.119

Still no times from the 2 Renault or Montoya.

Montoya moves into 3rd but over 1.1 seconds behind Michael.
