Pizzonia, Button, Raikkonen and Monteiro are on the track now

The drivers want to check out these conditions as it is expected to be wet all day today!

Karthikeyan takes 3rd with a 1:52.827!

Ed,
What was the difference in the track conditions between the start of the session and the end. Was Michael's time set when the track was drier or was he genuinely much quicker?

The rain did get heavier towards the end of the session however Michael's time is still impressive given that it is his first and only time he set.

Of course with Michael's off, the others will be more conservative as well.

Hopefully we'll get a better picture in the next hour - if the Ferrari mechanics get to fix Michael's car in time!

2nd Saturday Practice session starting shortly.

It is wet with air temperature at 23 while track temperature is at 22 degrees

Michael Schumacher set the fastest time in the 1st session but went off just after setting his time.
