Alonso's claims that Ferrari are cheating is actually wide of the mark as the Italian Champions have been perfectly up-front in the fact that they decided not to join the remaining nine teams in limiting testing this year. According to the FIA, this is completely legal as they do not dictate testing regulation. EARL ALEXANDER(F1LIVE.COM)

All the teams have a limit on their tests for development except ferrari how can do ilimited test. I, as the world champioship leader see this as CHEAT.

the rules, the rules...

when a team have such a privilege, so the rest of the team are so handicaped that it's nothing but a CHEAT (not for FIA but for drivers and fans!!)

At least you CANNOT call this MY conspiracy theory...

I completely disagree with u sgd here.

When u've 7 top teams testing for Michelins & only 1 team testing for Bridgestone,u cannot deny that the 7 teams have an advantage.

It doesnt matter if Bridgestone makes exclusive tyres for Ferrari.One gets better tyres, durability with the miles it clocks up during testing.

I would say the Mclarens,Williams,Renaults,BARs,Toyotas,Redbulls & Saubers have an unfair advantage over Ferrari in terms of tyres.

Its a common practise for other teams to go against a champion team,especially if only team have been dominant for years,to do come what may to bring them down.Thats F1 grouping/politics.

Ferrari was testing more days in January,after Australian GP,Malaysia GP,Bahrain GP but no one said anything about it cos Ferrari were losing.But with Ferrari performance in Imola,every non-Ferrari supporter has jumped the gun in taming them cheats.Just in one race

Its a long season,Ferrari is not going to win everything,Lets just sit back and enjoy the exiciting races.

I don't think anyone changed their opinion about this. This topic was created before the Australian GP Kapel. Most sensible people don't like the current situation with testing and it should be resolved but with the other stuff GPWC etc ... it won't.

Bottom line though, one team testing continuosly while the others aren't isn't right whichever way you look at it.

Would like to correct myself on that JV,every anti-Ferrari person

But would still stand on my views of equal mileage testing when u have competitor tyres.

ferrari have the cars,drivers money, and resouces, and tracks to simulate 3 grand prix teams testing at once....how are they disadvantaged,...how much tyre info do they need?

I have no clue how much mileage would a tyre company require to be competitive or faster than the other...i guess infinite.

Gentleman's agreement on Testing was agreed so as to have equal standing for all teams,but when a scenario like this arise where Michelins-7 teams & Bridgestone-1 team, i consider it to be an disadvantge to Ferrari.

Its a proven fact,that even with one of the biggest budget & the best resources can guarantee a team championship(eg.Toyota),testing does!!!
(Mclaren,my 2nd fav team,with a huge budget run a 3rd car on friday,which i think is unfair.But its within the rules

)
Anyways Mclaren & Redbull are nearly out of the 30days-agreement(when they tested in privately in UK).

A new testing restriction should be in place but with equal fairness.

Kapel, do you think that in their ilimited tests ferrari ONLY test tyres???
they test mechanical parts, aerodinamics, setups, etc...!!! 10x more than any other team now, from a sportive point of view that's CHEAT when all the other teams have limited their test!!

I do not accept the number of teams on Michelin compared to Bridgestone argument as a justification for Ferrari to test more.

I accept that there are no rules governing testing, but 9 teams have made a verbal agreement, to limit their tracktesting, apart from straightline tests to 30 days in the period of the 2005 season.

Ferrari not being part of this agreement, are free to test as much as they like.

Period the end.

If anyone have problems with a specific driver or team, and under the opinion that a particular driver or team is breaking rules and regulations, then quote the specific rules and regulations.

It is very easy to accuse a particular driver or team of cheating, if the alleged cheating is based on opinions instead of facts.

It is not, and can not be cheating that ferrari is testing more than the other teams, as there are no rules to break.

I have read 7 pages worth of explanations as to how Ferrari is cheating, none of which are based on facts.
