Interesting that we are reverting back to the old configuration with the chicane before the final turn not in play this weekend.

Interesting that from P7 through to P20 are covered by less than a second. The race is shaping up to be a close affair.

Qualifying will be really interesting. There are now 17 cars covered by less than a second and even the slowest is only 1.5 seconds from pole.

This session started under the threat of rain with all fast times set at the beginning of the session.
Logan Sargeant ended in the barriers in the final turn bringing out the red flags just before the rain came.

Pierre Gasly was given two 3 place grid penalties for impeding both Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen during qualifying.
He will drop from grid position 4 to 10th.
