Re: The 2023 Netherlands Grand Prix Thread
Welcome back from the summer break.
Many teams ran new areo components and spent time evaluating whether their time spent in development was valuable.
Lance Stroll had a power unit problem and missed most of the session.

Re: The 2023 Netherlands Grand Prix Thread
Oscar Piastri lost the rear of his McLaren entering the banked turn 3 and hit the barriers rear first and then the front.
Daniel Ricciardo, following not too far behind, was unable to avoid the incident and himself hit the barrier with the right front of his AfphaTauri.
Unfortunately for Daniel, the impact also caused him to break his left hand and he is out for the rest of the weekend. His place will be taken by Liam Lawson for the remainder of the grand prix weekend.
Surprise package so far is the pace of the Williams. Both drivers have been showing some incredible speed throughout the Friday sessions.

Re: The 2023 Netherlands Grand Prix Thread
Qualifying became a battle of survival with the changing weather conditions.
Q3 saw crashes by Logan Sargeant and Charles Leclerc with each incident bringing out the red flags.
Max Verstappen again rose to the top with Lando Norris pushing him all the way.
Alexander Albon surprised all with the Williams qualifying in 4th.
As mentioned, Logan Sargeant also pushed his Williams into Q3 for the first time this season.

Re: The 2023 Netherlands Grand Prix Thread
Well, throw some rain into the mix and it can turn a race on it's head.
An early downpour and a late race drenching that caused a red flag caused grief for a few drivers as well upsetting the team strategists.
