I am still a crazy fan of JV but in a Sauber (a team which has never won a race), I have to be realistic. JV is nearing the end of his career and I find in Alonso The Cute all the ideals I like to see in a driver so why not support him too ?
I've always rated Alonso highly but I didn't expect Renault to give him a car that was close to the McLaren and in my predictions for 2005 back in January I said
And these were my picks for the Australian race back in March before Alonso started winning regularly.JayVee wrote:Well I'd love to see JV win it again but being realistic I think Raikkonen will win it.
Michael will lose his spark this year
Button has caused too much damage at BAR
Montoya won't be a match for Raikkonen
Alonso may finish second
Fisichella may be good but won't match Alonso
Webber is good but I doubt Williams will deliver
So don't just assume things about me and make them sound like factsJayVee wrote:Ok I just put in my picks (I know I can change them later though!!)
Winner: Fernando Alonso
Second: Kimi Raikkonen
Third: Giancarlo Fisichella
Fourth: Rubens Barrichello
Fifth: Mark Webber
Sixth: Nick Heidfeild
Seventh: Jacques Villeneuve
Eighth: David Coulthard
Pole: Fernando Alonso
It'll be close between Alonso and Kimi. Montoya is too hard on the car and retires. Fisichella is no match for Alonso but the Renault is so much faster than the rest. Michael goes off into the gravel frustrated at how slow the 04M is. Barrichello makes it to the finish happy to see Michael off!
Webber and Heidfeld make it but the Williams is too slow. Villeneuve makes it ahead of Coutlhard.
Both BAR grenades blow, Trulli and Ralfie are in the points at the start of the race but lose consistency !!
The 2 Jordan drivers take each other out
