McLaren confirm on the radio to Hamilton that Alonso has an engine problem!

Alonso remains in the car though!

At the moment, Raikkonen is fastest ahead of Hamilton and Heidfeld.

McLaren are now stating that Alonso had a gearbox problem and not an engine problem.

A 10th place start is better than 20th.

The track had oil on it from the GP 2 race earlier and it is being cleaned now.

Air temperature is 24 degrees while track temperature is 36 degrees
