JayVee,

While it was reported that the Bahrain test was a private test for Ferrari, the test actually isn't and at least one other team has confirmed their attendance and that is the Honda team

Now Kapel has some ammunition

But now that Ferrari have 2 new cars, I hope Massa finally gets more than a day in the car :(
How else will he reach half those 25 test days Kapel dreamt up

The McLaren IS looking rather fragile.
Whaat time would Alonso have set JV. :?:

Encouraging? Yes

Good enough? Not yet . . . his time would have only registered 7th fastest the day before.

The most encouraging thing is the improved reliability, Williams have turned up the number of daily laps in the last few tests.

its just too long till Bahrain in my book :soon:

There was hardly a day when a Bridgestone team was fastest. And please don't count poor Massa doing all the work on the 2004 car.

And it isn't even warm over there

Well yes there was. Wurz was fastest in the williams for a complete day.
Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

Dry testing concluded at Jerez on Friday 6 teams present and 12 drivers setting lap times.

The 2 Renault's topped the timesheets with Fisichella and Kovalainen. Kimi Raikkonen was 3rd fastest.

Fisichella set a best time of 1:17.763.
Gary Paffett in the McLaren V10 covered the most number of laps with 91.

Pedro de la Rosa had an engine failure on his McLaren V8 late in the session. Nick Heidfeld in the BMW Sauber had a mechanical problem while Mark Webber had an off early in the session damaging his car. He couldn't go back out onto the track due to lack of spare parts.

Renault found a solution to their rear wing problem and had both cars running.

Renault and McLaren remain at Jerez for an artificially wet test.

Next tests:
Bahrain from Monday the 13th
Valencia from Tuesday the 14th

And the lead driver doesn't go around crashing new cars with no spare parts :crush: :crush:

Not only was Wurz over 2.5 seconds slower than the flying Renault, even more worrying was that the typically slow and catious Monteiro in the ex Jordan was faster

Naturally had Alonso The Cute been driving, the gap would have been over 3 seconds. 8)

and .....

no no, not the AXE please ..... I won't say any more. :P

Interesting numbers from todays test show both the Honda and Ferrari V8's are within 0.1s of their respective 2005 race fastest laps. (not that either of them were fantastic)
looks like julian may be collecting a few roubles this season
I'm in shape

Round is a shape...........
