The Ferrari team were running a F2004 with a V8 and F2005 with a V10 running in simulated V8 conditions and the times set are similar.
We cannot compare to times on the same track from earlier test sessions as they were running on a different track configuration!
Ferrari are scheduled to test at Bahrain on the 19th of this month and that may give us some idea but they may opt for a different track configuration again!
Towards the end of the month, several teams will be testing at Barcelona and we'll certainly get a better idea then!

Well, I suppose one benefit of Ferrari breaking the testing agreement again is all the juicy feedback from Bridgestone to Williams and Toyota. Incidentally didnt Ferrari justify all the 2005 pre-season testing by saying they were the only major team on that rubber?

They'll find another stupid excuse trying to explain their "whatever it takes to give Michael another title" philosophy.Julian Mayo wrote:Well, I suppose one benefit of Ferrari breaking the testing agreement again is all the juicy feedback from Bridgestone to Williams and Toyota. Badoer set the fastest time of the day with a 1:35.024.
For reference (2005 Barhain Grand Prix times):
Fastest time from the 1st Friday Practice: 1:31.449
Pole time - Saturday: 1:29.848
Pole time - Sunday: 1:32.054
Fastest lap of the race: 1:31.447
Note: Direct comparison can be misleading as fuel loads, track and weather conditions can vary greatly.

Minardi StatementIt was great driving a Formula One car for the first time, even if I did end up learning about traction control the hard way! The accident was really just down to a lack of experience, but it most definitely hasn?t dampened my enthusiasm for continuing with the test tomorrow and trying to do the best job I can. I really want to thank Paul Stoddart and Minardi for what is a fantastic opportunity
