The experience and skill he is showing now at this age means that he still has room for improvement   and that is a scary thought for the other drivers :D
He is on track to become one of the greatest F1 drivers and I beleive he will get there.

Time will tell of course
I hope so. He is an entertaining driver to watch and I like him.
I really do hope the McLaren switch goes well, but I worry, oh how I worry.
But we all do worry and that is what makes it exciting.

He jumps in the McLaren and starts winning straight away regardless of who the other driver is.
Sure he won't have a reliable car as he has now but why not, lets see him fighting like he did in Bahrain or Malaysia
He isn't a car breaker like Raikkonen or Montoya though so don't expect too many failures and he eats a lot of carrots    .
I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!

Well, 1 out of 2... Michael Schumacher can beat Alonso however less frequently. Kimi has not looked like winning even one race so far this season. His teammate and test drivers have though.

Yeah right. Kimi went from last on the grid to 3rd place in Bahrain. What do you think he would have done from much further up the grid, where he normally would have been :?: Going backwards or what :?:

And where & when did JPM look like winning a race this season :?: Must've missed a race, damn.

And (McLaren's or any other) test drivers may do a jolly good job testing *race* cars in a *test*, but how on earth can someone look to you like winning races who doesn't even take part in a *race* as a *race driver* :?:

How many races ago was Bahrain? In this business, you are only as good as your last result. Only 2 drivers in F1 understand that. Their initials are FA and MS, not KR.
And where & when did JPM look like winning a race this season :?: Must've missed a race, damn.
At the very last race, JPM was a mistake by FA or MS away from the top step of the podium. This is a fact. Where did Kimi finish?
And (McLaren's or any other) test drivers may do a jolly good job testing *race* cars in a *test*, but how on earth can someone look to you like winning races who doesn't even take part in a *race* as a *race driver* :?:
Who do you think the Formula 1 teams hire to test? They hire racers! Otherwise, you and I would be doing it! Last year, both Pedro delaRosa and Alez Wurz looked better subbing for JPM than JPM in a race. He has elevated his game. In my opinion, Kimi has gone down. His performance at Imola was as uninspired as I have ever seen him. In their whole careers, I never saw Senna or Schumacher put in such a lackluster performance even in bad cars. So let me be the first to inform you that Kimi had better turn up the wick because right now, he doesn't look like he wants to win as bad as Montoya.

Ladies Ladies :fly2: :wtf:

I wouldnt write Kimi off just yet. :nap: I liken him to a panther :smokin: :smokin: (a term I previously reserved for one Michael Bevan <pause    end pause>).

A panther has tonnes of speed but also the ability to creep around when tactically appropriate. IMHO, Kimi is bitterly burnt from last year. If he had only backed off in two or three races, not broken the car, and gotten some points . . . things would have been very different. :1st: :1st: :flag: :fly:

At IMOLA, what good would it have done him pushing harder? He wouldnt have overtaken Webber on the track, and he wasnt far behind Webber at Webbo's 2nd stop. . . he did just about all he could after buggering the start :bang: . . . but he didnt break the car, and he got points  :drink: . . . is that a different Kimi to last year?? I am hoping so?? Has Kimi become a panther? Able to creep around, and pounce only when appropriate??? I am hoping so!

As for Driver line ups next year. . . Kimi will stay. He is an assassin, hungry to make statement. Even if McLaren bombed out next year, Kimi would get a kick out of taking on FA in the same kit. :duel: :compute: :croc:

As for Fisi - he suffers ADHD IMHO.. . . concentrate boy. . . I put him behind JPM in terms of value. . . . he will be the last person picked in the school playground before the captains are forced to consider little fat kids with glasses, or japanese kids called Sato or Ide.

:danger:

MS, he wont leave Ferrari. Rubens adventure would unnerve him, and what if he didnt get the same level of on track protection. (<quick blinky, duck, here comes the red cavalry>) :flag:

Nico and Mark. If Williams go backwards . . . those 2 could both up and leave . . . If Williams go forwards, neither will leave.

Button wont go anywhere - he cant. No one trust his contracts.

So - what do I think . . . I actually dont know after all that :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: :bang: :box:

Kovy to Renault . . . JPM to Honda. . . Rubens to Toyota . . . Trulli to ProDrive.
Today's mighty oak is yesterdays nut that held its ground. . . there is hope for us all.

:offtopic: :offtopic:

Can you believe that? A lot of :blah: in that post, and nothing to do with the actual thread??

FA: 4-5 world titles only.
Kimi: 1-2
Nico: 1-2
Kovy: 0 nico's shadow boy
MS: no more

and Button never gets a win.

You noticed that too.

I don't like your last prediction very much :? Thank goodness it is wrong! I have journeyed into the future and you'll be pleased to kow you are definately wrong in at least one potential dimension.

Good post BlinkyBill but I disagree on Raikkonen. Remember in Australia he also flat spotted his tyres and damaged the wing, he was saved by the safety car when he pitted for a front wing change.

But I would love to see Alonso and Raikkonen at McLaren next year just so that everyone sees just how good Alonso is :D :D

I like your comment on MS. Just look at the facts, if Barrichello is that much behind Button then MS isn't that good :D :D

I would imagine Nico is on a long term contract and another team would have to pay a lot of money to get him out. Webber is in a dangerous position whether by luck or not.

Snowy, in your adventure into the future, what else did you see ? I am sure Julian (Mr. Ambassador) would like some news :D :D
