Well, well, well.Julian Mayo wrote:This is my call because, while there are so many uncertainties about reliability etc in the pre-season
, I believe the regs favour the B runners. Mark is a known cracker of a qualifier, a "good authority" tells me that the new 7 speed "seamless change" gearbox problems are solved ( at least with 7 as against last years 6 speeder the Bloody Williams should get off the line this season)The Cosworth will be one of, if not the most powerful early on. Toyota have Donkey's years of tradition in producing bullet proof engines, but Ralf will be too much of a burden for them to take 1st.
I should retitle this forum: The Boulderdash F1 Game - awards for the people that can best justify the most incorrect pre-season tips!!
Julian . . . I hope your right on Williams. The thing I most hope for, is that there are more than two teams with cars good enough for race wins.
But can toyota be one of them? Engine realibility is one thing, but Toyota are yet to show us they can do pace AND reliability. I cant see them taking a championship or many race wins without lots of luck or a superb driver. They are a safe team. They will be there somewhere, but like last year, they will be that team in the top 8 of the grid that every other team doesnt want to get stuck behind.
