Julian . . . I hope your right on Williams. The thing I most hope for, is that there are more than two teams with cars good enough for race wins.

But can toyota be one of them? Engine realibility is one thing, but Toyota are yet to show us they can do pace AND reliability. I cant see them taking a championship or many race wins without lots of luck or a superb driver. They are a safe team. They will be there somewhere, but like last year, they will be that team in the top 8 of the grid that every other team doesnt want to get stuck behind.

Pardon me Julian but I have an observation or 3 to make.

The first one is to do with maths

In your latest predictions you have Nico and Ralf tied and Toyota winning the constrcutors. This means that Trulli will have more points than Webber

Emotions only earn Webber virtual points that don't count

Second, on the 2nd of February you had:

The rest

Kimi

Nico
Fisi
Alonso

and just a mere 3 days later you have

That was a major shuffle

During those 3 days I think nothing has changed. Mercedes were still blowing engines, Williams were still having serious problems, Bridgestone were still scratching their heads and Renault were still setting lap records.

Third, I am not sure why you insist on believing those trashy sites that are desperately trying to keep spreading rumours about Renault. The President of Renault, the one who many are claiming will pull the plug has clearly stated that they will be in F1. What isn't clear is beyond 2007 and that is the same for all the manufacturers. No one really knows what will happen in 2008 including those trashy sites who just make up stories when there is nothing interesting.
Oh and just a note on the can drive Fisi, remember he also crashed at Spa last year and gave away the Japanese Grand Prix to Kimi (just imagine if it was Alonso who had passed him what would have Kapel said

).

Oh and I see your respect for McLaren grows in 2007. Interesting

What I do know about Renault is that they have a habit of coming and going, they are losing their major sponsor, and Alonso at the end of the season, so I have a question mark about their desire to continue. Just a question mark. Nothing more. The rest of that post was, again, just for fun. Past experience has taught me that we will know little til the first two races are done and done.
And remember, one person's trash is another person's treasure.

Of course it is for fun, Webber or Toyota winning the titles is beyond miraculous and will at least require Renault pull out in 2006

Julian, from the pace of the Renault so far I think you can conclude that they are at least title contenders regardless what hat you are wearing. Fighting for the title means positive coverage and no car company would say no to that.
Their major sponsor was already leaving, it was well known unless you only read the headlines. Same with BAT but somehow that isn't a problem for Honda.
Yes Alonso is leaving but I suspect that if Alonso asked for more money they wouldn't have paid so perhaps the move happened a few months earlier than normal. They have Kovalainen and if you notice his times from testing and his results from GP2, he is as highly rated as Nico. (and they both have Finn blood

)
All is well at Renault as long as mad max goes away and takes all his stupid ideas with him.

But tell me

, how is Webber going to win the title if Nico and Ralf are tied and Toyota win the constructors. I still can't figure that one out

It just seems weird to me that a woman (no insult intended or implied) can be so logical that I cant argue!!
Unfortunately it seems like Renault ARE going to be the team to beat again this season with all the rest once again trying to play catch up.

I work in IT (logical again!!)

A single parent with 2 kids can hardly afford to be illogical

But most importantly, with all the illogic you see here about W & W one has to be logical

But you have hammered McLaren. Graham and Jim won't be happy at all

And BMW Sauber will surprise a few. Afterall a World Champ is driving for them (logical

So Max will suspend Williams and Webber will go to Renault. I see

But Williams signed Concorde, Max can't suspend them

Rah, Lloyd and at one stage Julian, were tipping top 2 in the constructors for Toyota. . . I am wondering how long it will take for them to admit how poor a prediction that was

In the last few tests we have seen some good times by Renault and Honda. Some good times from Mclaren, in between maintenance work.

Ok times from Williams and the team they would love to beat the most, BMW . . .

but where the heck is Toyota??

I am refining my tips and providing reasons for why Toyota will drop off the pace in 06: Ralf is suffering from arthritis mid-corner and Trulli is losing time as he tries to flick those locks out of his eyes.

Julian predicts Toyota will WIN the constructors

Toyota and McLaren will go backwards this year. Toyota due to the tyres, McLaren due to their engines.

Williams will not improve by much and it will be an interesting fight with BMW.
