Nothing official from Williams Julian however last week Rosberg had gearbox problems so I expect similar problems.

On Webber's comments, well the data we analysed last week from Barcelona were pointing in that direction
McLaren seem to be improving their reliability but the problems they had earlier on would've affected their progress.
Honda seemed to lack consistency on the longer runs.
Ferrari could challenge but we don't have much data to compare.

. . . it all comes off with easy-off Bam.

:conf2:
Yes, that is one theory :D
But that theory will be shattered in two weeks time

Remember Bahrain is just 2 weeks away!
:good: :coool:

But I was never confused. I've been saying all along that Alonso The Cute will dominate in 2006 on Michelin tyres
yeah Ed, i didn't mention it before but that was great info! :)
a good reason to be loking for updates in the forum... ;)

Dear JayVee, it looks like you didn't even saw the info and just shooted your biased "Alonso The Cute will dominate in 2006"...

let's take a carefull look of this day:

23/02/06 - Max temps - Air 12, Track 19 - Cloudy to Sunny

Alonso third - 1:13.977 (during a short run of 3 laps)
Longest run was a 23 lap stint - 9:36 to 10:05 am - with a fastest time of 1:16.603 and the slowest time of 1:19.391 (excluding in and out laps)
Most of the run consistently in the low to mid 1:18's.

Montoya fifth - 1:14.588 (during a short run of 3 laps)
Longest run was a 21 lap stint - 11:19 to 11:45 am - with a fastest time of 1:16.565 and the slowest time of 1:18.539 (excluding in and out laps)
Most of the run consistently in mid 1:17's
So, what does it says? I'll tell you:
Alonso makes P1 on saturday, then in race finished P3 behind McLarens
that is what i call being 'more informed and less confused'!!! 8)
Have a nice day! Bahrain is near. it should be the first pole position for FA, first win for JPM... 8)

P.S:By the way, did you noticed that lately the McLarens stoped breaking away?? and are at the same level of test problems with your beloved FA?? open your eyes honey! Mclaren is ON!!!
Dear sgd, I did see the info and perhaps you didn't notice this:
Alonso ran a 19 lap stint - from 11:14 to 11:37 am. Fastest 1:15.544, slowest 1:18.323
Compare that with
Montoya fifth - 1:14.588 (during a short run of 3 laps)
Longest run was a 21 lap stint - 11:19 to 11:45 am - with a fastest time of 1:16.565 and the slowest time of 1:18.539 (excluding in and out laps)
Most of the run consistently in mid 1:17's
:croc: :sling: :horn:

Bahrain is getting near :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

Oh and my biased comment
Even Mark Webber says:
I think Fernando is big. I think Alonso will come out of the box.
I always thought last year would be one of the easiest championships he would have. Looking at what I saw this past week, he might have an even easier one
That is if you beleive the papers .... thanks Julian:D

Which muck raking oily rag medium was that published in ?
:ROTFLMAO:
Of course it could be part of the the "BAM" plot. HHmmmmm......I see it all now......run heavy in testing, make Alonso et al .......relaxed and comfortable......be published as saying the season is all over.......Alonso et al.....get nice and comfy...........BAM........it all comes unstuck with BAM :fly2: :light:

ahh my dear Jayvee . . . so easily distracted, so easily led astray. :light:  :light:

You see its all part of a cunning plan. :smokin: :busy: :smokin: :maths:

I mean, its soooo obvious that I was uncomfortable with how blatant Marks comments were :excuse: . . . no no, not the "Alonso will have an easier championship this year" comment, :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: but look closer Jayvee. Look between the lines . . .

you cant see it? :fly:

didnt think so. :flag: :flag: :flag:

Allow me to prophetically paraphrase Marks comments in the post race press meeting:

Martin Brundle (hmm, how did he get there) "Mark, great first up win in the first race of the season - well done".  :1st:

Mark "Yes, very pleased. I mean Alonso is the benchmark, he should be winning easily as I have said all along, but obviously that is a great tribute to the Williams team and my driving skill to be able to outperform here today".

Yes yes my dear Jayvee. In 2 weeks all will be revealed. :duel: :axe: :compute: :fly:

Thanks for the entertainment

I won't go into the why's and if's of Webber's comments. I've learned :alright:

Let me just say to all the Webber optimists out there, the best you'll be hoping for in Bahrain is a DNF. At least then you can continue with these bizzare claims of a 1st win had he finished :light: :light:

But in the remote case where he does finish, 8th will be too high. The car and Bridgestone won't help. Webber knows that and deep inside you guys know that :alright: :notme: :flag:

And please don't hide come Monday :TOTW: :havefun: :soon:

I'll be knocking :fly2: :fly2: :horn:

And on a serious note, I would be happy if anyone except Michael wins.

I would be happier if that was Massa The Rebel or Webber The Aussie

And I would be happiest if that was Alonso The Cute or Villeneuve The Miracle man :D
