Ya the % per capita is still low as cricket is still the most popular & affordable sport here.Tennis is at no.2(Thanks to Sania Mirza),then hockey & then Football & Rugby

Sorry, Kappy I watch Wimbledon, and wake up refreshed. Tennis started to get boring when Borg started winning. Any sport, or anything else for that matter, is boring if there are no " characters" speaking their minds. It will be a sad day when DC leaves F1, ie., watchamacallit ( female ) for ITV (?) was asking him about the need to be careful of his traction control, his reply..." I think of your nipples, and caress the button" or somesuch. Quite coarse but refreshing.
Some posters, G,day Bryon, have payed out on Mark for speaking unpalatible or to them, unacceptable, statements but so far, he, Stoddy, and DC are the only guys that are prepared to actually say what they think. In all the years I have participated in, and watched sport, I cannot remember a more honest classic picture of a perfectionist SPORTSMAN than Mark Webber at Monaco. Out of his car, straight to Nick, before Nick had his helmet off, shaking Nicks hand, patting him on the shoulder, turning, walking away, and allowing a look of self disgust to anchor on his face. And that is what most people misread. No one will judge MW harsher than he does. Thats why he feels free to speak his mind. Lets hope he takes over from DC, when DC pulls the pin, I cannot think of anyone else. They all get moulded into line by the sponsor dollars when they are kids in karts.

Ok buddy, sit down, take a deep breath, and concentwate. The reason I ask is pretty obvious I'd say - I want to know. I don't recall ever seeing one b4?julian mayo wrote:would you like to explain, using little words for people of little interls.. intelid.... not veery smart people like me why you asked that question?Byron Forbes wrote:Have India fielded a team in the Rugby World Cup yet?

Speaking of explaining one's self, what paranoid, maniacal sort of thing are YOU implying exactly? You're really quite an interesting individual aren't you?

PS - that "rapid" enough for ya?

Michelin offers a goodwill gesture to the spectators present at the US Grand Prix.
Michelin offers spectators present at the US GP a refund to their ticket as well as offering to buy 20,000 tickets for the 2006 US GP to be given to spectators present at this year's US GP.
Having offered that, Michelin remains defiant and doesn't accept the FIA's accusations and points the blame at the FIA for their lack of respect for the spectators.

Why do you guys bring non F1 issues into these threads
Ed, why don't you move them to CIRT
Now, what does everyone think will happen today ?
Now that Michelin will refund the tickets, I think the FIA should fire Mosley and Charlie
I know that is wishful thinking.
I am actually not getting good vibes about this. I feel the teams will be punished by more than a fine and thing will turn ugly
I really really hope not!!
I want to see The Cute win in the Renault on the Michelins in France

Before wimbledon, she was ranked 74th.Lost in the 2nd round to 5th seed-Kuznetsova in 3 sets.
French Open 2005 she went out in the 2nd round too.
Australian Open 2005 she lost to Serena Williams in 3rd round but beat her in Dubai Open in the final.
From May 2004 where she was ranked 216th,i think ranked 74th now is an achievement, atleast for Indian tennis(women).

An F1 Idiot!!!
Sorry JayVee
I too hope Max is chucked out of his office , i dunno if this is going to happen.
But i'm not having any bad feeling about this anymore.I feel the teams would be fined at the most.FIA will have to do this to keep their positions above the teams.
NO bans,no points deduction.
Lets go racing

Just read an article on Reutersabout a letter from Michelin Chairman to Mosley in which he says
But things aren't looking good for the hearing
then addsI feel necessary to let you know how discontented I was of both the nature of your contentions -- which are based on mere allegations -- and the suspicious and inappropriate tone employed
Good on Ya MichelinI hope you will be fair enough to acknowledge that Michelin, with its seven partner teams, IMS (Indianapolis Motor Speedway), FOM (Formula One Management) and two other teams, did the maximum to preserve a true and safe race by proposing a very serious and pragmatic alternative. This is all the opposite of a boycott

Not a huge Union fan but I do make a point of watching the fantastic spectacle that is the Rugby World Cup. Love the Japanese team, for example. It is a fantastic novelty to see many different races and cultures participating in team bloodsport!Kapel wrote:Yes they have. But if/as u know, the qualifiers are on at the moment(for the non-regular teams) like in cricket.Byron Forbes wrote:Have India fielded a team in the Rugby World Cup yet?

Anyway, time to get back on topic - just had to ask since you mentioned it and I couldn't recall seeing an Indian team b4..

Whoever wrote that can go live in the past where they belongKapel wrote:An interesting article![]()
Have a look.
http://www.planetf1.com/features/editor ... 0074.shtml
I can't see anything intersting about it Kapel. Had any driver raced, they would have been most likley black flagged as they were running unsafe tryes.
Safety is paramount in F1, it has been since the death of Senna yet this article asks the drivers to reverse that. The drivers whose life is most at risk. What a joke!
