Of course we can not asume to much into this, after all noone knows what trim or spec he was in. After all there are some good names behind him.

But it will surely get him some good publicity.
Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

Silverstone - Day 1

On Thursday the Red Bull Racing team gave the Ferrari powered RB2 its first track run. David Coulthard was at the wheel and completed a limited number of laps. No lap times were available.

David said:
Testing the new car today was momentous, as it represents something completely new for the team. The engine was delivered from Italy, but then everything has been built around it, and this was the moment when all the newly created parts came together. The lines of the new car look as though they?ve been inspired by the Formula Unas, it?s a very sexy looking thing!
David continues testing the car on Friday

Pre Season testing resumes on Tuesday the 10th of January at Jerez.

This is another mega test spanning 10 days.

All the teams with the exception of MF1 Racing will be present at some stage during the test.

All eyes will be on Fisichella on Tuesday when he shakes down the R26 for the first time.

Even those would be interested in knowing how Fisichella goes and more importantly how the new Renault goes.

I suspect Schuey was doing high fuel load/low fuel load testing. As you know the cars can go from being an understeering pig to an oversteering reflex tester as the fuel load changes 8)

I know you may not like this theory, but when has that ever stopped me.

Maybe, just maybe, the Ferrari might be quick. I know its a horrible thought, but stranger things have happened.

Using the 2004 car with the V8 is pretty much admitting that they got it wrong in 05.
Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

Judging by the testing reports, it seems Renault's off to a good start. No problems w/the new V8 engines and Fisichella got things going well. Looks as though(even though its' only Renault's first on-track day) they have things well in hand. Now all we await is to see the WDC, Alonso, take his first laps of the new year.

How's that saying.....To be the best, you have to beat the best. If their testing regimen goes the way today's did, it looks as though McLaren, Ferrari and Toyota will have to bring everything to bear in order to win over Renault. Then again....it is only preseason testing. The way last year's season went, who knows what will happen in 2006?
