Who Am I ?

During the off season we'll ask you to identify the Formula 1 driver we are talking about. After the initial brief, we'll give a hint every day or two until one of you correctly identifies that driver.

Each player has only one shot at identifying the driver until the next hint is given. Any questions just ask, we are just having fun.
We'll tweak it as we go along as it may be too easy or too difficult!

The first player to post the correct answer will be the winner.

The quicker the driver is identified, the bigger the prize will be.

So here we go:

Who Am I ?

I am English, born in the 50's.
I raced in Formula Three, Formula Two and Formula One.
In Formula 1 I raced for 4 different teams but I never managed to finish on the podium.

Other hints included:
- I raced for Tyrell, Zakspeed, RAM and Williams
- My best finish was 4th place
- I am a doctor
- I was a test driver for McLaren
- I became a commentator after retiring from Formula 1
- I had 1 fastest lap and scored 14 points in my career

It was only put up last night and I think I was the only person lurking.
Just mentally went through the British drivers I could think of and then had a guess.
Would have known for sure if I had the doctor clue.
