Predict Fastest Lap - '07 Australian GP (mlittle closest)

Post by Tim » Tue Mar 13, 2007 6:42 am

Predict the Fastest Lap time for the 2007 Australian Grand Prix.

If someone gets a perfect match or near perfect (+/- 0.1 seconds), we'll give away a prize. (A choice between an Digital Alarm Clock and a Stopwatch).
And an even better prize if you get the time and the driver (A pair of Binoculars) and better still if you get the time, the driver and the lap number (A USD $100 instant gift certificate or equavilent from a choice of suppliers!)

Please include the time to the 1000's of a second, the driver and the lap number. You can if you wish include a wet time as well

For reference, the Fastest Lap time from the 2006 race at Albert Park was 1:26.045 (Kimi Raikkonen) on lap 57

Note: As there is only a single tyre supplier, the lap times are expected to be slower by around 2 to 3 seconds.
Having said that, during testing in Bahrain, some cars actually went quicker than last year!!

The Fine Print
One entry (dry and wet) per user with one change per condition allowed. Entries close prior to the start of qualifying session on Saturday
The winner will be the one who manages to predict the closest time. You need to be within 0.1 seconds of the fastest lap time to be declared the winner.
In case of two players predicting the same time and driver, the player who submitted earlier will be the winner.
Changing time and/or driver is allowed only once and the change cannot be a max or min to try and gain advantage (eg. if the highest fastest time posted is a 1:45.345, a player cannot change their time to a time above that)

Actual Fastest lap time was:

1:25.235 by Kimi Raikkonen on lap 41

The closest time was ...
mlittle wrote:Dry--Raikkonen 1:25.596
Just 0.361 seconds off the actual time. The closest but not close enough for a prize.

Nevertheless, well done mlittle for being that close given that this was the first race of the season!
