F1 2007
It was a great year! The races were harder to pick this year, because of the four-way fight for the title (yes, even Felipe was in the hunt until the last three or four races).
The best part, though, is that Kimi won the WDC! At last! Haha.

Brief Profile:
I am from Sydney, Australia and as you can tell from my username, I am a huge fan of Mark Webber. I think he is still yet to show his true potential given the fact that he hasn't been in the right car. Hopefully the RB4 goes like a rocket!
Fantastic competition, it really keeps us on our toes!
I can't believe I managed to win a round, bloody unreal!
Can't wait for the competition to begin this year.
Great effort guys !!

Brief Profile: I'm from Johor Bahru, Malaysia and have been a 8 'n' Pole participant for several years now. I am a Kimi fan and have been a F1 enthusiast since the era of Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell and Alain Prost. 2007 was a great season and it is good to see a few teams so close together in their speed. I hope that 2008 will be even more exciting now that we have at least 3 contenders for World Champion.
The 8 'n' Pole competition is a great way to make the F1 season even more exciting by competing with people all over the world. Great job! I was totally surprised to win the Australia round and then finally making 7th overall.
Looking forward to the 2008 season and the new battles between Kimi, Lewis and Fernando.

Hi I'm Gary from Vancouver Canada. I've been playing the 8 'n' Pole
for several years now. Its a fun competition. I play with a group of friends that I work with and I've won the bragging rights for 2 of the last 3 years. I won the round of Malaysia 2007 and that was the second time that I've won a round. I just need to be more consistent with submitting my pics and maybe I can do a little better.
I can't wait for 2008 to begin. If it's going to be anything like last years season, we're in for a real treat.

Hey gang, A brief intro: I'm Scott Busse... scored lucky 13th
My F1 appreciation grows each season, particularly since Schumi left. (Not that I necessarily wanted him to leave, but it seems the competition has improved since...) I'm a total racing fool, from F1 to ALMS, DTM,Rolex etc and sim racing in rFactor and GTR2. Can't seem to get enough... Really looking forward to the 08 F1 season... maybe BMW's first win.... all those Sebastiens and Nicos... Kimis defense... yeeehaaah! I'm shooting for a points finish in 8nPole... see y'all there! seb

G'day, I'm Gary from Australia.
I have been watching F1 since Channel 9 first broadcast it back in...
My hero drivers are Lauda & Shumi.
Lauda because he just wouldn't give up and Shumi because he was the best "racer" we have seen.
I play 8 'n' Pole with a group of friends that I work with (or have worked with), just for fun.
I was more than surprised to win a round as I always pick Mark Webber and that is usually a problem!!
8 'n' Pole makes the F1 season just that little bit more interesting and we are all a bit more "involved".
Looking forward to 2008 but I hate the late nights
cheers

Hi I'm Paul (nickname: Pikkemans). I became a long time F1 fan after seeing a F3 race in Silverstone back in the eighties. 2007 was the second year I entered the 8'n'Pole, last year I missed the first race. In 2007 I was there from the beginning, and at the end I finished 5th overall. I like to congratulate my countryman MRLAW with his first place. I'm very proud to see two competitors of the Netherlands Antilles in the top 5, knowing that Curacao (where we live) only has about 140.000 inhabitants.

Hello!
Hello everyone,
I'm 23 years old, living in Bucharest, Romania. I watched my first Grand Prix in 1991 or 1992 (that was a long way back), but I only started to follow F1 regularly since 2000. I am a fan of Kimi "the Iceman" Raikkonen. I first visited the newsonf1 website in 2002 and registered for 8 'n' Pole in 2005. I allso registered for the forums but lost my password soon after and never posted anything.
About the competition: I almost won a round at the start of 2006, but since then I had a run of poor results and I had pretty much given up on winning anything. I am very surprised (and happy) about winning the last round.
Congratulations to all other winners and many thanks to the NewsOnF1 staff.

Hi
Hi, I'm Chris from Australia, and I managed to win the round in Canada. Quite a coincidence that I'm also Canadian (perhaps some local knowledge!)
I've been into F1 for about 10 yrs, but I've only managed to get to one race, the Australian GP in 2001. I'm amazed that I won a round - I've had a few good rounds over the years, but I've also had some shockers too!
Thanks for the great comp again this year, and bring on 2008 - let's hope Kimi can defend his title!
Cheers
Chris
