Barrichello and his bickering and whining

Post by Maksutov » Sat Jun 13, 2009 10:23 pm

This just proves to show that Barrichello is not mentally as strong driver as Button or Schumacher. His constant whining and bickering about being a 2nd driver. (EDITED)

----- ---------------08/06/09
"I had clutch trouble at the start, the same as Australia - it was the wrong calculation for the clutch once again on my side.

"Then the engine limiter was coming in on the straights and I couldn't overtake. I'm not criticising the team but I think we have to be more careful with my stuff," Barrichello said after the race.

"The bad luck seems to be happening too much on my side," he added.

--------------------------
Yeah, its your own fault,... and you still brake and accelerate with your right foot - learn how to drive a formula 1 car!

-----------------------06/06/09
“You know, as much as I love Jenson as a friend, I hate him as a driver, so it’s very, very simple,” Barrichello
--------------------------
zzzZZZzzzzZZZzz...

------------------------06/06/09
“People might have this feeling that because I was second to (Ferrari team-mate Michael) Schumacher, that I will finish second to him (Button), but I will fight him very, very hard,” he said. “This time we work well for the team, there are no choices, no sad options like I used to have at Ferrari and this time I just have to conquer and I hope it starts tomorrow.”
---------------------------
LOL yeah you keep waiting all your life you'll never get it. And it was nothing to do with being 2nd by force. You are 2nd because you just ARE!

------------------------25/05/09
"I was running at tremendous pace," Barrichello continued. "But possibly I was just too close to Jenson as losing that little bit of aerodynamic I was struggling a little bit more without the air in front and I grained the rear tyres." It was a shame we had the graining. The race was lost during that graining phase.”
--------------------------
Hahaha... why does only Barrichello have graining!?

-------------------------22/05/09
"I don't see Jenson running far ahead for the whole season," said Rubens,
"I could even say this time it's my turn. But words mean nothing. I just have to go out there, win the race and shut some people up," Barrichello said.

------------------
LOL, how about you shut yourself up.

-------------------------11/05/09
Barrichello threatens to quit over team orders
“I need to find out what happened. I'm sure everything is okay”

-----------------------------

Omg! here we go again! Nothing happened you are just not as good.

it goes on and on.... Comment please.

Have a look at some of the qualifying times when The Barra was at Ferrari.
Have a look at fastest lap times,The Barra v Schumaker.
Remember what the guys on the pitwall could do to engines, back then.
Ross Brawn doesn't hire 2nd string drivers.
Having said that, Button is driving a car that is tailor made to his butt and brain.
The pedals are just the right height and arc, the shoulder to steering wheel distance is perfect, vision is spot on. He gets in to that car, and he is putting on a comfortable pair of very quick runners, which will not give him one single blister.
Have a look at the front end stability of the Brawn.
Button is slow if the rear end is not perfect, he is not good with oversteer,(see Malaya).
The Barra can, and has, adapted to cars that require different driving styles,
Button can not, which, imho, keeps him below the ranks of the Webbers, Alonsos, DCs, Massas.etc.
At the same time, I do wish him well. 8)

I am not sure what your point is though. The thing about Barrichello is that he always mouths off against his team mate and his team and Schumacher. Yes Schu has done many crap things, but he is "one of" the best drivers F1 has seen. And statistics are there to show. You cant make your own team mate slower and I very much doubt Ferrari ever purposely made Barrichello slower. If you are trying to prove otherwise its all speculation and empty talk.

But of course Ferrari did give Barrichello team orders on few occasions at the time when it was mathematically viable - I personally disagreed with that and I think that was bad for Schu's image. But lets be realistic, Schumacher didnt win the world championship 7 times because Ferrari made Barrichello slower, Irvine slower or Massa slower. May I also remind you that constancy is the most important factor in determining driver quality, not just lap times and qualifying.

Also on that note, the driving style can very much govern how the Tyre is blistered. You cant just go out there and thrash the car and blister your tyres within 10laps as Barrichello did in Monaco - a professional driver has to think about everything. Thats what separates the excellent drivers from the "good" ones. I have no doubt that Barrichello is a good driver.

But when you get someone like Barrichello mouthing off against Ferrari and Schumacher and writing a book of excuses on his own failure (yes he is working on a book about his time at Ferrari), and constantly tries to excuse why he is slow - what does that tell you about him?

Button is having a good season. Barrichello is his usual self. Neither in my opinion are top class drivers. Button is doing very well this season and everything is working for him reminding me of Mansell (in 92 I think).

This will probably be Barrichello's last season and so he will try to deflect any shortcomings but everyone can see that. However I have yet to be convinced that his strategy wasn't stuffed up at the Spanish grand prix in favour of Button. He should have and was capable of winning that race.

There are also many other drivers who bicker and whine!!
I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!

The next time I hear a certain TV commentator talk about Button's "silky smooth driving style", I may vomit.
They are all smooth, and none more so than Alonso, or Webber in the rain, or they would be spearing out into the weeds on every lap.

hmmm yes,... the Spanish GP strategy did seem to favor Button. but i do believe that drivers also have a say if they wish to switch strategies, from 3 stop onto 2 stop, and change tyres and so forth... but in saying that I also know that Ross Brawn in my eyes is the smartest strategist in F1 so yeah maybe Ross Brawn is to question about that one :?

Can't argue with that!!! JB just happens to be very lucky this year. First to even pick up a ride and second to be in what is at this stage of the year the "right" car. As for poor old Rubino, well I guess he is entitled to a bit of a b#$% every now and then. 8)

JB is driving a car tailor made for him, right down to his ingrown toe nail. The Barra's bum barely fits in his car, and he has to adapt to yet another No1 drivers set up. :D
