This is SOOO Easy!

This is such a chance for McLaren to stick it to all those who were so condescending and snide about Ron Dennis spending all his time chatting with architects instead of racing engineers. Why do you think he went out of his way to get JPM to match with Kimi? Not because he expects JPM to emulate DC! No. The message to the Columbian this week is simple: Qualify, Juan --and if you ain't on the podium at the end, you'd better start hunting a ride for next year because there are lots of drivers out there drooling for your slot and they don't have tennis elbow, either! In fact, if JPM isn't on the podium, look to hear from him how much he loved winning at Indy and how he might be interested in trying again.
So. My picks. As I said, so easy (though, as of a half hour ago, I couldn't get the damn Pole N 8 line to register my picks!!

1: Kimi --because he can drag a trailer behind him and STILL leave the rest gasping for track position
2: Juan Pablo --because, as I said above, it's put up or shut up time
3: Jens --because the Honda people want blood
4: Fernando --because he's a sweet heart and has had a nice run; now it's time for him to learn about how F1 works (as Kimi did last year)
5: Michael --because it hurts too much to put Ferrari lower than 5, even though they ARE
6: Takuma --because the Honda boys have been jawboning him in japanese I suspect, maybe even leaving a seppku knife on his pillow?
7: Fisichella --because the Gods have condemned him to bridesmaid status forever
8: Nick --because it's his home track and his chance to leave bleeding Marko just out of the points!

P.S. After the bloody terrible displays at the Chicane in Monaco which, with one exception were EMBARRASSING, I don't want to hear any more condescending remarks about going round and round at Indy. At least at Indy you can't drive through the bloody wall and keep your position!
Cheerio and may the BEST MAN and BEST CAR stick it to all the Finn Haters out there!

Just looked at your picks and honestly I didn't see them before putting mine in but if you replace Michael with Fernando our picks will be pretty much the sameK-D wrote: Good luck with that pick....

I wonder if that is a good thing or not!!!!
In any case, so far my extreme of not picking Michael at all is winning

And thanks!, Good luck to you too
But looks like no rain

I am not sold on rain or sun. The Eifel mountains are notirious for having "their own" weather. So regardless of the forcasts right now, it can be anything in between:
Sun
Overcast
Rain showers
Steady rain
Thunderstorms
But look as a hot muggy day right now.

I think you said this, lets see, Malaysia, Bahrain, Imola, Barcelona, Monaco, yes that makes it 5 times in a rowK-D wrote: My extreme of allways picking Michael have not paid of sofar, but come Sunday the tide will turn.

I agree on the weather

I actually don't mind a wet race

But last season it was 10 points in 13 of the races. So as everything else in life it's cyclic.JayVee wrote:I think you said this, lets see, Malaysia, Bahrain, Imola, Barcelona, Monaco, yes that makes it 5 times in a rowK-D wrote: My extreme of allways picking Michael have not paid of sofar, but come Sunday the tide will turn.
