Formula One returning to U.S. in 2012

According to multiple sources, Formula 1 could indeed be returning to the United States as early as 2012. Sources close to F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone report that he has signed an agreement to bring grand prix racing back to the 'States, specifically Austin, Texas, starting in 2012. Austin officials close to the agreement stated that they would build a track at least 3 miles in length w/in a 10-mile radius of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport(formerly Bergstrom AFB) and that the track and facility would be privately built with no public dollars to be used.
