Re: The 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix Thread
Two practice sessions down and it looks like it is a battle between the two papaya cars. At this stage, Lando Norris has the upper hand. Maybe he is seeking redemption for 2024 when he had to give up the win following an error in race strategy from the pit wall.
Practice 2 saw Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso finally give the Aston Martin supporters something to cheer about finishing in positions 4 and 5 in the times. It seems such a long time since these green machines have been near the top of the times.
The other end would have to be the Red Bulls. Yuki Tsunoda led Max Verstappen in FP2 with both drivers complaining of lack of grip in both front and rear. There will be long hours spent in the simulators tonight to try to find a solution to their woes.

Re: The 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix Thread
It was a race of strategies converging at the end with Oscar Piastri making a final charge at leader Lando Norris at the end of the race.
Norris had a bad start and ended chasing the leading duo of Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri following a pass on George Russell. Being behind but in clear air, Norris settled into making his race on a single pit stop while Leclerc and Piastri committed to a two stop strategy. Entering turn one on the penultimate lap, Piastri made his move but came up short. He had to bail out or risk taking both McLarens out of the running. From there, Piastri never got close enough to make a serious challenge on Norris.
Charles Leclerc had a race to forget after a magnificent qualifying. After being in the lead prior to the first pit stop, the new hard tyres didn't give the desired adhesion and he dropped back. There are murmurings that there was a chassis problem but, either way, he surrendered third place to George Russell and finished a distant 40 odd seconds behind the McLaren duo.
