Which Team on Which Tyre?? in 2006

Post by Kapel » Thu Sep 08, 2005 4:59 pm

Silly Season gets sillier...

With control tyre from 2007 & 2008 & Michelins admission of not being interested in F1 if there is no competition, speculation of teams shifting to Bridgestone have started.

Redbull & Williams are already in discussions & so is Toyota!!!

Latest rumour mill have informed that even Mclaren Mercedes is also contemplating an early switch to get gain advantage for 2007!!!

Will Ferrari switch to Michaelin for a year just to gain advantage or will stick around with their loyal tyre suppliers

Maybe it next year could be a case of 7 bridgestone runners and only 3 michelin runners (in which case Ferrari would be stupid to switch to michelin as Michelin would lose their advantage very quickly, like bridestone did this year).

I thought the proposed single tyre supplier is for 2008. Has it been brought forward now ?

Still I reckon Michelin will still be superior next year even if they don't develop their tyres at all

This must be the Bridgestone propoganda machine (Kapel :?: )
I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!

I can't understand why would a team jump to Bridgestone!

When Michelin leaves all the teams will have the same crap tyre

Someone pointed out that Ferrari are well into testing the V8, which suggests that Bridgestone would have considerable tyre.

Yeah, but at least it will be able to be used at all the tracks.
Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

They can just schedule all the races to run in the coolest months. Not sure what they will do with Malaysia or brazil, but you can't please everyone. Especially Michelin.

Sweden and Iceland would be nice new tracks. Just think, they could go anywhere in the world. Except near the equator.

I favour Mawson, a nice few days on the ice-breaker, an endless supply of ice for the WT, no passports needed for the australian base.
