The WilliamsF1 team confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Bridgestone for the supply of tyres from the 2006 Formula 1 season.

Frank Williams said:
After detailed consideration, we have taken a very positive decision, based on technical merit, to renew a relationship with Bridgestone who we previously worked with in 2000. We are delighted to re-establish a partnership with the tyre company that has won seven consecutive World Championship titles since 1998.

One can only assume that Bridgestone is going to make a big comeback next season

They need a number of top teams and they should start getting competitive. Toyota have also confirmed they are negotiating with Bridgestone.

There will also be a lot of knowledge transfer when the teams make the switch at the end of the season which will help Bridgestone however I still expect them to be at a disadvantage early in the season.
