Well, this could be the season defining round.

Ferrari are definitely the team to beat. For the first time in more than 3 seasons, they appear to have the upper hand over Mercedes. The 2017 package seems to be a really nicely balanced car that can be fine tuned to each track much easier than the 2017 Mercedes.
With the weight of Mercedes behind them, the Silver Arrows will have to get back on track quickly.
Red Bull, Toro Rosso and Renault have all stepped up however I feel the power unit is still a little short of the leading 2 teams.
Force India have done a remarkable job in accruing points and, thanks to their efforts in Monaco, Haas also are looking promising.
For Williams, it is a rebuilding year. The decision to bring back Massa from retirement seems a masterstroke. Stroll is a novice and getting up to speed takes time.
McLaren looked impressive at Monaco. Both cars qualified in the top 10. The problem is that Canada is a power circuit. Power and reliability are their ongoing problems.
It is a good thing that Sauber has some points already this season. They may not receive any more.

So, these are my thoughts for Canada.

To report:

Spins.... This circuit needs to rubber in. Everyone seemed to struggle throughout this session with a lack of grip.

Carlos Sainz had an hydraulic failure causing the car to stop on track resulting in him missing most of the session.
Daniel Ricciardo had an electrical gremlin which caused problems throughout the session.
Fernando Alonso again had on track problems with him eventually abandoning his car near the end of the session.

This Penimaster Pro from https://www.taledc.com/penimaster-pro-review-results could be interesting. Ferrari, Mercedes, Ferrari, Mercedes, Red Bull.

The electrical gremlins again struck Daniel Ricciardo.
Hamilton will win.
