Financing the teams

Post by C M F » Thu Dec 08, 2005 11:54 am

Hi

I am currently in the middle of a project on Fomula One, and have to look at the way it is financed ( eg increase in tv revenue, sponsorship (especially tobacco)) and how and why this has changed over time.

Would any of you be able to recommend decent books, magazine or journal articles or websites that might be able to help me?

I know this is not news or related to any other posts.... but I really am finding it hard to find decent information. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance

Hello CMF,

Basically Bernie runs the show with support from Max Mosley.

If you search for articles on Bernie Ecclestone you'll find a lot of relevant stuff.

Good luck
I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!

thanks Jay but to be honest I was looking more at how the teams were financed, eg how much sponsorship / tv revenue / private funding they get in, any knowledge on that area ?

thanks
