Might as well get in early and tell all my tale of woe.

Winner: Daniel Ricciardo
Second: Lewis Hamilton
Third: Max Verstappen
Fourth: Sebastian Vettel
Fifth: Valtteri Bottas
Sixth: Kimi Raikkonen
Seventh: Fernando Alonso
Eighth: Carlos Sainz
Ninth: Sergio Perez
Tenth: Pierre Gasly
Pole: Daniel Ricciardo

Going out on a limb and backing the Red Bulls to do something this weekend and show up the bigger teams.
I still feel that the dollars will rise to the top and Alonso will be the next best.

So these are mine, show me yours

yes Mr CMLEAN, you ARE going out on a limb & I hope you're right! 2 wins for Ricciardo at this point might make F1 actually a little exciting

BUT I think this is Seb's return to command. Here's me picks for the warm up to the Indy %00

1. Vettel in the balanced and powerful (but maybe illegal?!} Ferrari
2. Ricciardo, pushing him but lacking a spot to overtake
3. Hamilton suffering from a bad qually will make it to the podium
4. Raikkonen will, like Ricciardo, not find a way around the car in front
5. Bottas will not even try to overtake
6. Hulkenberg will drag the Renault up to sixth
7. Ocon will bring the Pink Car home in the points
8. Alonso will once again show us how good he is even in a terrible machine
9. VanDorne will follow his partner
10. Sainz will bring the second Renault into the points, again rubbing McLaren's nose in it

and the pole will be Sebastian's and he'll rule the race from lap one

I'm glad to see CMLEAN every week, but I think my friends down under must be posting somewhere else these days

Looking at practice and the fact that Red Bull is quickest on slow circuits means that they have to be the favourites! Next year will be different given that they are likely to be powered by the Honda

I suspect though that Verstappen will crash (and so will Grosjean!!)

I also think Ferrari will start dropping back due to a crackdown on their 'interpretation' of the rules

I expected Alonso to be higher up in practice ... very difficult to pick 6th to 10th here

It's always good to hear your words of wisdom each round.
I always look for them. You are correct that there are just a couple of us who post. I think it is a sign of the times with most people sitting on FB and leaving us to spread our bull.

That said, there are many who visit the site and (possibly) check our picks before lodging their own.
It would be good if they left a note to say they had been here.

Who was it comparing Verstappen to Maldonado ? (I don't think it is fair but he is certainly not helping himself!)
