Getting Live coverage of F1 (in Australia)

Post by Lloyd » Thu Feb 02, 2006 1:21 pm

I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge about watching F1 races in the Australia or other places, live by picking up ITV's coverage from the satelite? I have noticed a few houses around near where I live have these huge dishes on their lawn s and roofs, not the normal pay TV type, they are mostly Italian families and I assume they have them to get the Italian football and shows. I put 2 and 2 together and without a calculator im still only getting 3. So I thought one of my fellow esteemed F1 fanatics might have some clues???

You are thinking way too low tech. You need those sexy spinner hubcaps. hey will do the trick.
Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

simply not a problem guys. Aerial off a 56 ford attached to a 9 slotter and get your friendly Koala to run it up the tallest gumtree around
( it has to be the tallest........if the Koala don't wanna do it, feel free to borrow " the dawg")

After reading all your usefull suggestions and trying one or two I am of the opinion that none of you are satelite tech's. Would I be right??
But keep the ideas coming I will try anything. Had an idea that the rotary clothes line could be transformed into a ripper Satelite dish. Then there is the problem of what channel to set the tele on.

When I go to a BBQ and take a note book all it contains when opened the next day is notes written with my finger in tomato sauce. I should have thought of a pen years ago. Thanks
