Predict Pole Time - '06 US F1 Grand Prix (mlittle wins!)
Predict the Pole Time for the 2006 United States Grand Prix
Given the changes to qualifying with 3 sessions, for 2006, you can attempt to predict the fastest time in each of the 3 sessions. If you just post 1 time, that will be taken as the Pole time which is the time from the final session. (Note that during the 1st and 2nd sessions drivers usually run on low fuel while in the 3rd session they have to run on race fuel)
So go ahead and have a crack at the fastest times from the 3 sessions of Qualifying or just the Pole time (fastest time in the 3rd session) and lets see who can be closest in the USA.
If someone gets a perfect match or near perfect (+/- 0.1 seconds) for 1 time, we'll give away a prize. (A choice between an Digital Alarm Clock and a Stopwatch).
And an even better prize if you get a perfect match or near perfect (+/- 0.1 seconds) for 2 times (A USD $100 instant gift certificate or equavilent from a choice of suppliers!) and better still if you get a perfect match or near perfect (+/- 0.1 seconds) for 3 times (A USD $250 instant gift certificate or equavilent from a choice of suppliers!)
For each of the above, getting the correct driver adds a bonus gift.
Please include the time to the 1000's of a second and the driver. You can if you wish include a wet time as well
For reference, the Pole time from 2005 at Indianapolis was a 1:10.625 by Jarno Trulli.
Good luck everyone!
The Fine Print
One entry (dry and wet) per user with one change per condition allowed. Entries close prior to the start of first practice on Friday
The winner will be the one who manages to predict the closest time(s). You need to be within 0.1 seconds of the fastest times to be declared the winner.
In the case of two players predicting the same time(s) and driver(s), the player who submitted earlier will be the winner.
Changing time(s) and/or driver(s) is allowed only once and the change cannot be a max or min to try and gain advantage (eg. if the fastest time posted is a 1:45.345, a player cannot change their time to a time above that)
